Limited Edition x MJ: Vest “Maremma Teba Vest” made from original Casentino wool
A jacket with a royal history.
The first Teba jacket was worn on London's Savile Row as a hunting jacket for King Alfonso XIII. made by Spain. The king gave this jacket to his friend and hunting partner, the Count of Teba, who gave this jacket its name. The Teba jacket was born!
The Teba jacket is a cross between a jacket and an overshirt. Its unlined shirt construction makes it appear casual, but its sartorial background gives it a formal influence.
Justo Gimeno has made the Teba jacket an icon of the Spanish wardrobe today.
Here in the variation “Maremma Teba Vest”. This model is exclusive to MJ and has a stand-up collar that turns into a small lapel collar. 2 patch pockets with folds and flaps and short side slits as typical details of this very special Teba vest.
The cloth made of boiled Tuscan wool "Panno Casentino" has served the hunters and agricultural workers of the Maremma since the 14th century as a warming material for jackets, coats and blankets. Unique and incomparable in its "plucked" product image - the original!
Reinterpreted here and combined with knitwear, denim and chinos or over a corduroy jacket, it's a great building block for a casual look!
