Our friendly relationship with Douglas Cordeaux, the owner of the legendary Fox Brothers weaving mill, enabled us to make contact with Kenichi Kusano. He is the founder, stylist and owner of Kenneth Field. A Japanese collection whose items are based on the tradition of original workwear, US Army icons and the typical Ivy style. Kenichi, "Kenny" to his friends, is a unique one-man show with great passion and attention to detail.

Here is his "West Point Gurka". A chino with the special waist belt of the historic ghurka pants.

The Nepalese soldiers in the service of the British Indian armed forces had a special pride and sense of style and had perfect pants tailored from the pattern of their breeches. These cuts were later used in the chinos worn by West Point officers.
