Joshua Ellis was founded in 1767 by the Ellis family as a clothier and diversified a few years later in wool textile manufacturing. Since then, only 3 families were owned by the family business.

Today, Joshua Ellis' focus is to protect the working lives of the 60 employees and to ensure that the great reputation for quality of the house is maintained in order to be prepared for the next 250 years.

The family business has been working since the 18th century, always with the philosophy of doing the best and they have produced a small separated collection for MJ, which is strictly limited in the numbers.
